Welcome to Mu’ooz Eritrean Restaurant & Catering in Moorooka.

“Mu’ooz”, meaning “tasty and healthy” in Tigrinya (the language of Eritrea and parts of Ethiopia), as an exotic word presents more than a powerful meaning; in the suburbs of Brisbane, it is an introduction to the Eritrean culture.

“Mu’ooz” offers an exclusive North-East African menu and quality service through the first A-La-Carte African restaurant in Brisbane and it’s catering activities....more info Catering. The restaurant seats 70 people and the catering service offers a catering menu that can be delivered services. Mu’ooz Restaurant & Catering is a Brisbane-based social enterprise set up in 2003 by the Eritrean Women and Family Support Network which aims to create training and work experience opportunities for refugee women from Eritrea and surrounding African countries. As well as providing an opportunity for paid employment for refugee women and their families, the restaurant improves cross-cultural understanding and assist with breaking down barriers in the local community.
